Object writing is the daily exercise behind most professional lyric craft: pick an ordinary object and write about it for ten minutes using sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, movement, and the feeling inside the body. The point is not the writing itself but the reservoir it fills; after weeks of it, specific sensory images arrive when you need them in a lyric instead of the emotional labels that make lines feel amateur. It is also the fastest way to break a block, because it removes the pressure to be good. This drill gives you an object and a timer and counts the senses you reach. The reveal shows which senses you lean on and which you never touch, which is the same pattern that shows up in your lyrics. Do it once here and you will feel why writers do it every morning.
